Uncle Mike stopped over for a few jokes and some chips before John's deployment to Iraq last January. I think I heard something about dinner at Durants when John's state side.

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.” -Winnie the Pooh

"Just being a Marine is the best feeling ever. I hope to become more true to myself and better at everything I do in life. I just want to make a difference for someone else who is not as fortunate as I am in life" - LCpl. John Keating, United States Marine Corps

thank you's and goodbyes

To my dearest, youngest daughter, Puddin', thank you for taking your time to get this up and running. Your gifts are many, and I'm blessed to have you in my life whenever I need you. Gracious girl!
Today, John called the family at 5:30 a.m. for the last and final time. He was getting ready to board the bus for the airfield near Riverside.John is being deployed to Iraq for the next 7 months with the United States Marine Corps. Among the items he will carry with him are our prayers. Thank you faithful friends and family who have listed his name on prayer boards around the Valley; who pray the Rosary for him weekely; and who think of him daily. He needs you, now more than ever. Please continue to lift him, and his fellow Marines, in prayer.
God Bless America, and all those men and women serving in the Armed Forces around the world.
Blessings,
Grateful Mother
