thank you's and goodbyes

To my dearest, youngest daughter, Puddin', thank you for taking your time to get this up and running. Your gifts are many, and I'm blessed to have you in my life whenever I need you. Gracious girl!
Today, John called the family at 5:30 a.m. for the last and final time. He was getting ready to board the bus for the airfield near Riverside.John is being deployed to Iraq for the next 7 months with the United States Marine Corps. Among the items he will carry with him are our prayers. Thank you faithful friends and family who have listed his name on prayer boards around the Valley; who pray the Rosary for him weekely; and who think of him daily. He needs you, now more than ever. Please continue to lift him, and his fellow Marines, in prayer.
God Bless America, and all those men and women serving in the Armed Forces around the world.
Blessings,
Grateful Mother

  1. Hankley Twin,
As a mother, I completely understand your worries and fears for John. But I have to tell you, as a fellow servicemember, I know how well prepared and trained he is for the task at hand. We are the most powerful, well trained and disciplined military in the world. If I could put your mind at ease I would, but I can’t…so, I’ll continue to pray for all of you and I’ll continue to feel the enormous pride in the path John’s chosen for himself and the sacrifices he’s making for a greater good.
    Always & Forever,
    Hankley #2
